Δεν μπορώ να πω ότι είμαι και ο μεγαλύτερος οπαδός του gothic/darkwave και γενικότερα του σκοτεινού χώρου της metal μουσικής. Για την ακρίβεια θα έλεγα πως ισχύει το αντίθετο. Εδώ όμως πρόκειται για ειδική περίπτωση. Το ''Α Woman's Diary'' έρχεται σαν γροθιά και σπάει όλους τους κανόνες. Ποτέ ξανά η σκοτεινή γειτονιά της μουσικής μας δεν είχε την χαρά να γεννήσει ένα τέτοιο διαμάντι. Ο τίτλος ταιριάζει απόλυτα στον δίσκο γιατί πραγματικά πρόκειται για ημερολόγιο. ΤοημερολόγιοτηςΗelena Michaelsen (ex-Trail Of Tears, νυν Imperia). Αυτή λοιπόν η θεϊκή (χωρίς υπερβολές) ύπαρξη, φαίνεται ότι διαθέτει ψυχική ομορφιά η οποία είναι ίδια με την εξωτερική της και αυτό αποδεικνύεται μέσα από τα τραγούδια της. Και άμα αυτό δεν είναι σημαντικό τότε πείτε μου εσείς τι είναι;;;;;;; Ένα είναι το σίγουρο. Ότι αυτό το album είναι αυστηρώς ακατάλληλο για headbangers. Εδώ το συναίσθημα και ο ρομαντισμός υπερτερούν της καφρίλας. Η Helena μας προσκαλεί να ταξιδέψουμε μαζί της στο ταξίδι της ζωής της, ξεκινώντας από την αθώα παιδική ηλικία (Little Princess),στην εφηβεία και την ερωτική επιθυμία (Flames of Desire). Από την απόλυτη ευτυχία (Glow In The Dark),στην απογοήτευση (Love Of My Life). Από την ερωτική απογοήτευση στον θρήνο(Μοther) και από τον θρήνο στην ψυχική επανάσταση (Butterfly).Τέλος η ανάγκη να αφήσει τα πάντα πίσω και να συνεχίσει (Funeral). Ας απολαύσουμε λοιπόν αυτό το ταξίδι με οδηγό την χαρισματική φωνή της και τις πανέμορφες μελωδίες, οι οποίες ντύνουν τις συνθέσεις μ' έναν μαγευτικό τρόπο. Το ''A Woman's Diary'' πρόκειται για ένα αριστούργημα. Ένα φως που ξεπροβάλει μέσα στο σκοτάδι. Κομμάτια σαν το ''mother'' το αποδεικνύουν και με το παραπάνω. Ταξιδέψτε λοιπόν μαζί του αλλά το τέλος δεν θα το βρείτε όσο και αν ψάξετε. Αυτός ο δίσκος είναι αφιερωμένος στην τέχνη και τον ρομαντισμό. Στην ίδια την ζωή. Γιατί πάνω απ' όλα το heavy metal είναι ΜΟΥΣΙΚΗ. Είναι ΣΥΝΑΙΣΘΗΜΑ.
